Writer, may I spotlight your work?
Writer, may I spotlight your work?
Hello Writer!
I know you are writing and publishing amazing work, and if you're anything like me, you want your work to reach as many new people as possible. I want to help facilitate that by sharing diverse published works with my growing comunidad.
My plan is to spotlight selected works via newsletter and on my social media channels. Specifically, I am compiling links to single poems, stories, or essays published in full online and written by my newsletter subscribers.
I'll kick off these promotional efforts with a National Poetry Month series of 30 poems and prompts in April. After that I will continue to spotlight poetry, fiction, and nonfiction throughout the year.

Submission Guidelines
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
- Deadline: to be considered for the poetry spotlight in April, please submit your work by March 15, 2020. Otherwise submissions are considered on an ongoing basis.
- Submission Requirements: The FULL TEXT of any ONE piece published online is eligible for consideration. That includes works published in online literary journals and other online publications (newspapers, magazines, etc.). Please only submit active links that lead to the full text of a work (no links to excerpts or print publications please).
- Required Information: Please gather the following information in advance, so you are able to copy and paste it into the form you will receive via email:
- full name
- brief bio (50 words)
- link to author website OR preferred social media page (optional)
- genre of the work
- title of the work
- link to the work (please ensure the link is active)
- Optional Demographic Information: I hope to spotlight a diverse group of writers at various stages of their writing lives and careers. In particular, I want to highlight as many works by women and nonbinary writers and writers of color as I can. Collecting some demographic information will help me achieve these goals. That said, responding to any of the demographic questions is completely optional and your answers will not be shared in the spotlights themselves.
- Only ONE submission per writer, please. Even if you write in multiple genres, please only submit ONE piece at this time.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
After you subscribe, I will send the official submission form to you by email. Please keep in mind that submitting your work for consideration does not guarantee that it will be chosen for spotlighting.
