UPDATE ON 7/2/2025:

Square purchased Weebly in 2018. Since then Square has invested in the site's e-commerce potential. The platform has changed significantly and continues to change, so my old review is no longer an accurate representation of the platform as it functions in 2025.

I continue to use Weebly because it still serves my purposes, but you should do your own research on various options in 2025 to find the best fit for you and your needs.

I leave my old review up below because it highlights some of the attractive features authors should consider when choosing the best provider for themselves.

​Since 2010, I've hosted my author website on Weebly and I couldn't be happier.

I strongly believe every writer should have a website, and Weebly makes it easy to get a site up and running right away. If you're looking for the right platform to build your author website, read on for the top three reasons I recommend Weebly.
