Halloween has never been one of my favorite holidays, but my kiddo is starting to get into "Spooky Halloween." I like these two board books to get us in the spirit of the season, but would love to hear about your favorites to add to our list! Please let me know what Halloween books YOU love in the comments.
Where's Boo?
My kiddo loves turning each page in search of "Boo" the Black Cat while finding other Halloween favorites along the way -- candles, spiders, and witch hats, oh my.
La Llorona: Counting Down
This isn't exactly a Halloween book, but it has all the spooky elements of the season, and it's a great book for helping your littles practice their counting in Spanish and/or English.
DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS / DAY OF THE DEAD
My Puerto Rican family doesn't celebrate Dia de los Muertos, but now that I'm raising a MexiRican kiddo, I've embraced the beautiful tradition of honoring our ancestors each year.
This has become an especially popular holiday in our home now that our little one loves the movie Coco. It has also become a meaningful way for me to connect with my Papi and other ancestors who feel far away in Puerto Rico.
